Creation Astronomy Conference Postponed

Several major changes at the 4th Day Alliance have caused us to make some changes to our schedule. In short, all of the directors on our board will be moving our families out of California this year. Additionally, we will be moving the 4th Day Alliance ministry along with us.

Consequently, we will need to postpone our highly anticipated Creation Astronomy Conference until the summer of 2012 (since it is currently scheduled in close proximity to the time many of us will be moving). Read More...

Global Astronomy Month Coming

Perhaps you remember our blog post from last year regarding the International Year of Astronomy. In short, 2009 was the year that evolutionary astronomers were going to “share the heavens” with the world. In short, they wanted to promote evolutionary astronomy on a worldwide scale. In April 2009, the 100 Hours of Astronomy (100HA) Cornerstone Project of the International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA2009) was scheduled to “show what the astronomy community can do working together.” The idea was to have amateur astronomers, clubs, science centers and others hold events by the thousands around the world. What is Creation Astronomy?

We recently received the following email: "Hello, I came across your website during an image search in which a link took me to your website and out of mere curiosity had read what the "4th Day Alliance" is about. I was a physics-astronomy major in college and am curious as to what "creation astronomy" is. I couldn't find a page describing it, so was wondering what you object to in popular astronomy that makes you teach "creation astronomy." looking forward to your reply..."

The following was my response (we have crossed out the emailers name). We have posted it here because we felt it would be a beneficial letter for you. Read More...

New Photos of Earth from Moon

Two new spacecraft have sent us back a few new pictures of the Earth. The Chandrayaan-1 (from India) spacecraft sent into orbit around the Moon is equipped with NASA’s Moon Mineralogy Mapper and it captured the image above while it was orbiting just over 120 miles over the moon’s surface.

Lunar Orbiter Can See Apollo Equipment on the Moon

One of the main questions, believe it or not, that we get asked whenever we have a star party is this, “Can you see the American flag on the moon with that telescope?” I know it sounds hilarious, but we get asked this all the time, and we generally only lug around an 8” telescope to our star parties.

Mars Hoax (again)

For many years now, there has been strange rumor circulating around the country claiming that Mars will appear as large as the moon in the night sky. Usually, a date is given for this event, and sometimes claims of pending doom or other calamities are included. The myth is often forwarded by email to hundreds of other people. If you get one of these emails, don’t forward it! Read More...

4th Day Alliance Membership Drive

As you all know, 2009 is the International Year of Astronomy, evolutionists are doing all they can to inculcate the world with their false science, and they are using astronomy as a means to do it. We'd like to counter their efforts as best possible. So, we are asking you to help us with a membership drive. Read More...

Ice in Martian Crater

Icy craters on Mars
HiRISE researchers were elated, but not particularly surprised, to discover some small, freshly gouged craters in images taken last year. How fresh is fresh? One cluster must have appeared sometime between June and August, and a somewhat larger pit showed up between January and September. What did astound the team were splashes of white seen in and around a handful of these craterlets. Could it be water ice? Read More...

Movie about the Flood

Although the 4th Day Alliance is focused solely on teaching Creation Astronomy, we are strong advocates of all branches of Creation Science. We are particularly in favor of promoting the message of the global flood. A new Christian ministry, called In Jesus Name Productions is now in the process of developing a major motion picture about the flood. We highly recommend that everybody get involved in the process. December Conjunction

I wanted to update you regarding a rare and beautiful conjunction of Venus and Jupiter that is taking place right now and will come to its climactic view on the evening of December 1st.

If you head out tonight when it begins to get dark (just after 5:00 pm), you will notice two very bright stars in the southwestern sky. The brighter star on the bottom is the planet Venus, and the dimmer star above is Jupiter. Every night you head out, you will notice that these two planets get closer and closer to each other.
