International Year of Astronomy

International Year of Astronomy
The international year of astronomy has arrived. The International Astronomical Union (IAU), a major outfit for teaching evolutionary dogma has been planning for 2009 to be the International Year of Astronomy for a long time. Their goal is to use this year as a year to introduce the world to astronomy. From their website:

“The International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA2009) has been launched by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) under the theme, "The Universe, yours to discover". Thousands of IYA2009 events are described on the national websites, as well as on astronomy2009.org, and a few of the global projects are listed here.”

While this all sounds fine and dandy, the end result will be that millions of dollars and thousands of hours of effort will be put into indoctrinating the world in the teaching of evolution - particularly the big bang. What this means is that millions of people across the world will hear the “billions of years ago” message reinforced in 2009.

With that in mind, I believe 2009 presents the perfect opportunity for 4th Day Alliance members and all Bible-believers around the world to reinforce the message that, “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the Earth!” And, it didn’t happen billions of years ago! Let us not despair. Let’s take this year as a year of opportunity! Make it a goal to use the International Year of Astronomy (2009) as a tool of evangelism - to spread the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by affirming the authority of the Word of God!
